- Kenny Francis Review added: 2018.01.08★ ★ ★ ★ ★Lovely woods convenient to Derry city just off of A6 about 4 miles from Drumahoe. beautiful deciduous woods with beech and oak, but paths are steep and not suitable for anyone who wants a gentle stroll. The Burntollett river runs through There and it is part of the Ness Woods area and the visitors center can be reached by following upstream. There is however a very nice green area beside the car park that has picnic tables and is ideal for a family treat. Burntollett Wood can also be accessed through the carpark and lends itself to easier walking. These woods, both Ervey and Burntollett are among my favourite places to visit on a regular basis
